Description

The Global IT Support I role is a technology generalist position responsible for providing courteous and professional IT end-user support for employees and clients in the local office. Key tasks include hardware and software setup, maintenance, and upgrades for end-user devices, responding to IT tickets, managing assets, escalating issues, and assisting global team members as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Responding to IT tickets in a timely manner
  • Resolving end-user issues and escalating unresolved problems
  • Supporting IT personnel in other locations
  • Installing and troubleshooting within LAN/WAN environments
  • Maintaining records of end-user assistance and troubleshooting requests
  • Training employees on IT applications and equipment as needed
  • Managing diagrams, documents, and functionality of assigned applications/systems
  • Collaborating with department leaders to understand business needs for IT changes
  • Evaluating system interrelationships and identifying impacts of changes
  • Maintaining confidentiality of processed, stored, or accessed information
  • Providing weekly workload and project reports to the IT Manager
  • Performing bi-annual audits of Company-issued laptops
  • Maintaining and operating end-user applications, including email, backup systems, user account creation, and phone system modifications
  • Ensuring network security measures align with Company policies
  • Staying knowledgeable about remote access products
  • Performing other assigned duties

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or related technical discipline (certification, formal training, or experience may substitute)
  • Minimum of 3 years of related experience
  • Relevant technical skills or certifications as specified by management
  • Knowledge of network topology and remote access devices
  • Strong business and technical communication skills
  • Ability to assess situations and resolve issues efficiently
  • Proficiency in professional report writing and correspondence
  • Excellent multitasking and organizational skills
  • Attention to detail and quality assurance
